‘Haikyu!!’ Day 2022: News surrounding the hit volleyball anime

Happy Haikyu!! Day! After two long years of waiting, fans are finally getting more animated Haikyu!!. Many fans expected the newest announcement to be the season 5 confirmation. However, we are getting a two-part film. On August 13th, the official website announced Haikyu!! Final alongside a trailer of what is to come.

Haikyu!! is a sports anime based on the 2012 manga by Haruichi Furudate. It follows Shoyo Hinata, a first year high school student who wants nothing more than to play volleyball and show up his rival Tobio Kageyama. He chooses to attend Karasuno High School in attempt to follow in the footsteps of his idol. However, Hinata quickly realizes that the Karasuno volleyball club is not as great as it used to be. Hinata is determined to revive the team and restore its former glory; and with the help of his coaches and teammates, he is able to work towards achieving this goal.

Haikyu!! Final and Haikyu!! Day 2022

As of now, little is known about these films. It is unknown whether these films will be released together or separately. The release date and director are also to be announced at a later date. Additionally, many fans wonder if the English dub for these films will be made accessible. The English dub is known for being particularly hard to obtain. In fact, most streaming platforms, including Crunchyroll, do not offer the English dub as a streaming option.

There’s more! Today, August 18th (August 19th in Japan) marks the 10th Haikyu!! Day, and we aren’t the only ones celebrating. In fact, Jump Comics is just as excited. In honor of Haikyu!! Day, the Jump Comics Chanel on YouTube has posted an 81 minute long video showcasing our favorite panels from the manga.
