During San Diego Comic-Con we spoke to Gabriela Cartol and Nina Bloomgarden. They are currently starring in the limited series, The Resort, on Peacock.
Interview with Gabriela Cartol and Nina Bloomgarden
Gabriela Cartol portrays Luna, a resort concierge at the resort where the series takes place. Nina Bloomgarden is Violet Thompson, a tourist who disappeared in 2007 and whose mysterious disappearance is at the root of the show.
The Resort at San Diego Comic-Con
San Diego Comic-Con returned last month after a three-year hiatus. During the four and half-day event the world premiere of Peacock and UCP’s ‘The Resort’ took place. There was a panel with show creator Andy Siara and cast William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Nina Bloomgarden, Gabriela Cartol, and Luis Gerardo Méndez.
The Resort is a multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time. The series takes place around the events of an anniversary trip. The trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple finds themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries. A mystery that took place fifteen years prior.
The first three episodes premiered on Peacock on July 28.
