Season Two of Doctor Who

The second season of Doctor Who, which aired from 2005 to 2006, featured David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose Tyler. The season also featured recurring characters such as Mickey Smith, Jackie Tyler, and Captain Jack Harkness.

The season’s story arc revolved around the Doctor’s battle against the Cybermen, who were returning to Earth after being defeated in the previous season. The season also introduced several new villains, including Cassandra, the Ood, and the Beast.

The second season was a critical and commercial success, winning several awards and attracting over 8 million viewers per episode. Some of the most popular episodes include “The Christmas Invasion”, “New Earth”, “The Girl in the Fireplace”, and “Doomsday”.

This season is a fan favorite thanks to its strong storytelling, memorable characters, and the heartbreaking loss of one of its main characters. It also marked the beginning of David Tennant’s tenure as the Doctor, which is considered by many fans to be one of the best eras of the show. The second season’s showrunner Russel T. Davies is returning as showrunner in the upcoming season of Doctor Who.
