The best part of comic book conventions, or really any genre of convention, is that it allows adults to play. We finally get to explore and enjoy things from our childhood that maybe we didn’t get to before. Los Angeles Comic Con is allowing 90’s babies to have the most playful time possible this year with their special guests and panels. Your inner child is sure to be very happy.
Los Angeles Comic Con Nostalgia
Jimmy Neutron 20th Anniversary & Live Script Reading
It’s rare you find 80’s and 90’s children who have never seen Jimmy Neutron. Jimmy’s determined nature made him an interesting character to teens and children alike. The cast of Jimmy Neutron, including Candi Milo, Carolyn Lawrence, Debi Derryberry, Jeff Garcia, Mark DeCarlo, Rob Paulson, and Megan Cavanagh will be on the main stage doing a live script-reading to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary! This is the perfect addition to Los Angeles Comic Con’s nostalgia vibe.
Yes that’s right, the boy genius is back with his group of friends to let you relive the film that had us running outside with our clothes not matching. These incredible voice actors have also lent their talents to some other childhood favorites including Animaniacs, Chalkzone, and Dexter’s Laboratory.
The Sandlot
Cast members from the classic 1993 baseball film, The Sandlot, will take the main stage on Sunday, December 4th! The group plans to get nostalgic as we take a look at the last 30 years of the classic film. A movie that definitely had a hand in shaping millennial humor is getting a retrospective look. Join the cast and reflect on your favorite lines and scenes from this classic movie.
More Nostalgic guests
Amy Jo Johnson, the original pink power ranger, will be in attendence. David Henrie, known to most of us as Justin Russo, Jim Cummings, your favorite bear Winnie the Pooh, and Steve Burns the original Steve from Blues Clues are also going to be guests at Los Angeles Comic Con. Also, be sure to look out for the man that taught us all to find the joy in reading, Levar Burton.
Most of these guests will be doing mainstage panels, and you can find them all at Los Angeles Comic Con. Don’t miss out on your childhood favorites!
