You asked for it and Marvel gave it! Punisher is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jon Bernthal (Fury, “The Walking Dead) has been cast as Frank Castle in the next Season of Daredevil.
“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”
This is an amazing casting choice. I, for one, am happy that Marvel is bringing this character to the cinematic universe. This character has the potential to pop up in the strangest places in comics, I hope to see this translate on film. Now bring on the Spider-man casting already!
