Instructions on how to make Pretzel Lightsabers

  • Start with one of the color meltable of your choice and place a few of them in a microwave-safe bowl. Do not mix colors. Microwave on 50% power for one minute. Remove the bowl and stir. Continue to heat at 30-second intervals until smooth. DO NOT OVERHEAT! THE CHOCOLATE WILL SEIZE!! If this happens just start the process over.
  • While melting the chocolate, place parchment paper on the baking sheet, and remove the pretzel rods from the bag.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into a disposable cup.
  • Place one pretzel rod into the cup. In a circular motion, swirl the pretzel, covering 75% of the pretzel. Place on parchment to dry. Repeat the process until you have the desired amount in that particular color.
  • Repeat the above process with the remaining colors (except the dark chocolate meltables) and allow the colors to dry.
  • Place some of the dark chocolate meltables in a microwave and microwave 50%power for 1 minute remove bowl and stir. Continue to melt in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  • Place the piping bag or ziplock bag in a cup in order to fill it 1/3 of the way. Snip off the end. Cover the other 25% percent of the pretzel in chocolate stripes. Before the stripes dry, place two M&Ms (M side down) on the handle. Let dry.
  • Place on a decorative plate and serve alongside your other themed snacks.
