Netflix showcased its upcoming anime and live-action adaptations at Anime Expo 2023. The company revealed new details about PLUTO, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, and ONE PIECE live-action series. Fans also got a behind-the-scenes look at Pokémon Concierge and saw new character designs for BEASTARS FINAL SEASON.
“From Japan to the World” J-Content presentation at Anime Expo 2023
Netflix hosted a “From Japan to the World” J-Content presentation at Anime Expo 2023. The panel featured Non, the voice actor for Haru in the upcoming stop-motion animated series Pokémon Concierge. Non gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the series and presented new teaser art. Pokémon Concierge is set to be released in December 2023 and will follow Haru’s adventures at the Pokémon Resort.
The panel also included a surprise appearance by BEASTARS character Legoshi, who showed fans some of the character designs for the upcoming and final season of the anime series. BEASTARS’ FINAL SEASON is scheduled to be released soon.
In addition to Pokémon Concierge and BEASTARS FINAL SEASON, Netflix also announced several other upcoming J-Content titles, including Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, ONE PIECE, and PLUTO.
Panel highlights
- Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead will be released on August 3, 2023. Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name. The story follows Akira Tendo, a man who works at an abusive company. When a zombie apocalypse occurs, Akira sets out to complete his bucket list before he becomes a zombie.
- ONE PIECE will premiere on August 31, 2023. ONE PIECEÂ is a live-action adaptation of the popular manga series. The series follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who sets out to find the legendary treasure, ONE PIECE, and become King of the Pirates.
- PLUTO will be released on October 26, 2023. PLUTOÂ is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name. The story follows Gesicht, a robot detective who investigates a series of murders targeting advanced robots.
- Pokémon Concierge will be released in December 2023. Pokémon Concierge is a stop-motion animated series set in the Pokémon world. The story follows Haru, a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners.
- BEASTARS’ FINAL SEASON will be released soon. BEASTARS FINAL SEASONÂ is the third and final season of the anime series BEASTARS. The series follows Legoshi, a gray wolf who attends Cherryton Academy, a school where carnivores and herbivores live together.
