The first day of New York Comic Con (NYCC 2025) officially kicked off, but the real adventure began a few miles downtown. Temple of Geek stepped off the convention floor and right onto the Thousand Sunny for the highly-anticipated opening day of the ONE PIECE x MERCER LABS immersive exhibition, and we are here to tell you: you have to see this to believe it.
We took so many photos and videos, trying to capture the sheer scale and beauty of this collaboration, but the truth is, the images do not give it credit. This experience is simply way cooler in person. It’s a must-see for One Piece fans. A spectacular chance to be indulged in the boundless imagination of one of the most beloved global franchises.
Legendary studio Toei Animation and Mercer Labs, Museum of Art and Technology, have proudly unveiled this groundbreaking exhibition celebrating the iconic One Piece anime franchise. Taking place at Mercer Labs (21 Dey Street, Manhattan), this limited-time experience will run from Thursday, October 9, 2025, through Sunday, November 30, 2025.
ONE PIECE x MERCER LABS is More Than a Museum, It’s an Adventure
For over 25 years, the iconic One Piece episodic series, based on the globally beloved and best-selling manga of all time created by Eiichiro Oda, has followed the pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew on their epic quest to find the “One Piece,” the legendary treasure of Gol D. Roger. This exhibition uses cutting-edge technology to transform the series into a living, breathing world.
The exhibition is packed with exclusive installations, behind-the-scenes production artwork, immersive digital environments, and interactive experiences that celebrate the epic saga of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew.
