Disneynature’s “Tiger” will be narrated by Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Narrated by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the film chronicles the cubs’ education under their mother’s watchful eye as they learn to navigate the dangers of the wild, including pythons, bears, and rival tigers.
“It’s just wonderful to be able to be a part of something so special and to tell the story of this magnificent animal that comes from my country—I was very honored,” Chopra Jonas said. “I have always loved tigers and I feel a kinship with the female tiger—I feel very protective of my family. Ambar’s journey is something I think every mom would really relate to.”
Directed by Mark Linfield, co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz and Rob Sullivan, and produced by the trio alongside Roy Conli, “Tiger” represents the culmination of 1,500 days of filming. Blending exhilarating action sequences with heartwarming intimacy, Disneynature’s all-new original feature film roars onto Disney+ starting Earth Day, April 22, 2024.
“Tigers on the Rise” also streaming on Disney+
Alongside “Tiger,” Disney+ roars with its companion film, “Tigers on the Rise,” narrated by Blair Underwood. This documentary celebrates the remarkable comeback of tiger populations, now venturing beyond habitats, creating a new challenge: human-tiger coexistence. The film shines a light on the heroes tackling this challenge – veterinarians, scientists, and community patrols.
