The “Sk8 the Infinity” OVA (original video animation) is now available to stream on Crunchyroll! After waiting four long years for new content, fans of the skateboarding anime can enjoy “Sk8 the Infinity: Extra Part.”

The OVA was announced, along with a second season, back in August of 2022. Animation studio Bones and the official SK8 Project have been teasing pieces of the OVA for the last year. Now, the wait is over! After its release in theaters in Japan in January, “Sk8 the Infinity: Extra Part” is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming!
There are four individual stories, each focusing on different characters. Each story has its own name and takes place at a different point in the anime’s timeline.
These are the titles of each story, along with which characters appear:
- “The Rain and a Cat, Soda Ice Cream from the Convenience Store” features Reki Kyan, Langa Hasegawa, and Miya Chinen. The three of them retreat inside after the rain keeps them from skating. They play a Japanese card game called Karuta with Reki’s sister, Koyomi.
- “Becoming Really Serious About Things” is a story about Kojiro and Kaoru in high school. The two of them spend their time competing and butting heads!
- “Morning Routine” follows Ainouske (also known as ADAM) and Tadashi’s life behind closed doors.
- “Hiromi, Do Your Best!” gives insight into Shadow’s work and personal life. His story is sprinkled in between the other three, showing off just how noble the punk of ‘S’ really is.
Now, fans are waiting for the reveal of season two!
About the Series
“Sk8 the Infinity” is an original anime series that follows a second-year high school student named Reki Kyan and his love for skateboarding. Reki meets Langa Hasegawa, a transfer student, and teaches him how much fun skateboarding is. They spend some of their evenings at a secret skateboard event called “S,” in an abandoned mine, where there are no rules.
