At a recent event on March 24, 2023, in Hollywood, California, Star Trek fans gathered at the science fiction-themed bar, Scum, and Villainy, for a special trivia night to celebrate the release of the first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on DVD, Blu-Ray Steelbook, and 4K UHD Steelbook.
Star Trek Fans Gather to Celebrate the DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Release of “Strange New Worlds”
CBS and Paramount Entertainment announced the special fan night, including an opportunity for fans to win special giveaways and enjoy a limited, Trek-themed offering of food and drinks.
Special Guest and Star Trek Science Advisor Dr. Erin Macdonald hosted the night’s events. In addition, fans were treated to special behind-the-scenes clips from the first season of SNW, which received praise from the fans of that night and led to much discussion thereafter.
Scum and Villainy Bar Provides the Immersive Star Trek Experience
Fans at the event dressed in fandom apparel. And some dressed up in Star Trek cosplay and immersed themselves in the world of Star Trek. The Scum and Villainy bar was draped in the flag of the “United Federation of Planets”, which was featured in the Star Trek series. Along with those were banners to promote Strange New Worlds and a flurry of Star Trek Delta logos added authenticity to the environment. Fans who also took the time to meander around the bar with other “Starfleet” members may also have caught a glimpse of some wines featured on Star Trek: Picard, which is also available for purchase on Star Trek Wines.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – Season One arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and limited-
edition Blu-Ray Steelbook on March 21. The 4K UHD Steelbook arrives on May 16.
