The Transformers brand was not letting fans down on Saturday at the New York Toy Fair. Hasbro had many of their new figures on display. All of their current lines were represented at the show.
War For Cybertron Seige
The War for Cybertron Seige toyline did not have any new reveals as most of these figures were either leaked online or revealed by Hasbro themselves, but we are finally getting our first official look at the figures. The Titan Class Omega Supreme is probably the most talked about. This monster is huge and just towers over some of the other figures in the line.
Studio Series
The Studio Series keeps pumping out detailed figures based on the designs from the featured films. Six figures were on display. Our personal favorite is the Voyager Class Optimus Prime from the film Bumblebee. Keep your eyes peeled at you local retailers as these figures will be dropping this year.
Masterpiece
The Masterpiece line had Bumblebee 2.0 and Bluestreak on display. These figures are more in line with the cartoon style. They are following the lead of Optimus 3.0 that was revealed in 2018. You can pre-order these figures now on the Hasbro Pulse website.
Miscellaneous
This was one we did not see coming. Have you ever wondered what a Ghostbusters/Transformers collaboration would look like? Well, feast your eyes on Ectotran. He converts from a movie accurate Ecto-1 to a robot wearing the Ghostbusters’ jumpsuit. This guy will also come packed with a Slimer figure. He is set to release in July and will retail for $49.99. Ectotron is available for preorder now on Gamestop.com.
Hasbro is releasing Transformers Generation Selects. This line of figures will be fan-dedicated, special edition versions of characters that cannot be found in the main lines. The first revealed figure for this new line is WFC Megatron. This combat deco’s version of ol’Megs here will come equipped with an HPR Telescopic Laserstrike Launcher weapon accessory with converting sword and blaster modes and a D50-R35 Fusion Cannon accessory. This figure is retailing for $29.99 and is available now on Hasbro Pulse.
Those are just some of the new Transformers hitting shelves this year. Are you excited about any of these new figures? Does Omega Supreme intimidate you? What other collaborations do you want to see? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
