Wizard World lands in Austin!

Wizard World returned to Austin on Friday through Sunday, Sept. 21-23, at the Austin Convention Center. Wizard World is a weekend long celebration of pop culture. It offers a long list of celebrity guests, entertainment options (dancing, music, etc.), themed activities, adult and kids costume contests and more. It brings together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels, toys, original art, collectibles, contests and more.

Guest

Panels and Q&A sessions with stars of “Doctor Who” (David Tennant, Peter Capaldi, Alex Kingston and Pearl Mackie), “The Vampire Diaries” (Ian Somerhalder and David Alpay), “Charmed” (Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause) plus Zachary Levi (“Chuck,” Shazam!), Danny Trejo (Machete, Heat) went on throughout the weekend. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet and be photographed a long side some of their favorite celebrity actors.

Concert

Thomas Ian Nicholas performed a concert for fans! Thomas is an American film actor, singer, musician, producer, director, and writer. Nicholas is best known for playing Henry Rowengartner in Rookie of the Year, Walt Disney in Walt Before Mickey and Kevin Myers in the American Pie film series.

Cosplay

Cosplay is growing in popularity at conventions. Cosplay is play on the  costume and play. People dress in elaborate costumes to celebrate their favorite characters.Wizard world certainly did not have any shortage of cosplayers! Costume contest and cosplay events when on throughout the weekend.
