The countdown to one of the most anticipated cultural openings of the decade has officially begun. Ahead of its grand opening in Los Angeles on September 22, 2026, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is headed to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) to give fans an exclusive, first-look preview of what’s inside the 300,000-square-foot marvel. Boasting a heavyweight panel in the legendary Hall H and a dedicated space on the convention floor with limited-edition merch, the Lucas Museum is positioning itself as the ultimate bridge between fine art and pop culture.

A New Architectural and Cultural Landmark
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is currently wrapping up construction in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park. Designed by Ma Yansong of MAD Architects alongside Stantec, the futuristic, fluid building is engineered to mirror the emotional power and wonder of storytelling itself. The state-of-the-art facility is integrated into an expansive 11-acre campus. It features a lush, multilayered park designed by Mia Lehrer of Studio-MLA. Which will serve as a green gathering space and outdoor educational resource for local communities.
