Fan Expo Denver 2026 Brings Fans Face-to-Face With Heroes, Legends, and Incredible Collectibles

As San Diego Comic Con approaches, there is another con fans should keep their eyes on for 2027. Fan Expo Denver 2026 occurred at the Colorado Convention Center on May 28-31. For those traveling from out of state or locals to The Mile High City, they were treated to a variety of cosplay. ranging from featuring “Survivor” to “Resident Evil”, and a spectrum of panels highlighting the best voice actors in gaming, to reunions of “The X-Files”, “Lord of the Rings”, and the recently concluded Prime Video series, “The Boys”. This comic con was four days filled with celebrities, impressive cosplay, a show floor filled with original art, and attractions for everyone who loves entertainment.

“Lord of the Rings” Fans and Cosplayers Celebrated Middle-Earth Throughout the Weekend

The four actors who portrayed the hobbits in The Lord of the Rings—Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin), Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck (Dominic Monaghan), and Peregrin "Pippin" Took (Billy Boyd)—participate in a lively fan panel, holding up whiteboards and smiling as they interact with the audience.

The celebrity lineup at Fan Expo Denver leaned heavily into fan-favorite TV and sci-fi franchises, delivering some of the convention’s biggest highlights. Fans of Prime Video’s recently concluded hit series, ‘The Boys’, packed panels featuring cast members Karl Urban, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, and Valorie Curry, who shared stories and behind-the-scenes insights from the show’s wild run.

Those who are awaiting the anticipation of Hulu’s reboot of ‘The X-Files’ from Ryan Coogler got to see an “X-Files” reunion featuring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

Another panel standout was a conversation with “Luke Cage” star Mike Colter, who made a cameo on the most recent season of “Daredevil: Born Again” and will be featured in season four of the series. He discussed how he got the role of Luke Cage, the effect the character has had on fans, and his passion for helping his community.

Unique Collectibles and Creative Vendors Added Fresh Discoveries Across the Convention Floor

Comic-Con show floors can seem overwhelming for first-timers and lack content diversity for veterans looking to score the coolest posters or desk items. Thankfully, Fan Expo Denver was crowded but provided enough room to browse the 300,000 square feet of shopping space. Separating the show floor with original artists having their own section called Artist Valley, it made it easier to find artists showcasing their sculptures, paintings, and other fresh and unique creations. A majority of the artists made it a point to mention that they didn’t have any assistance from artificial intelligence to create their content.

The show floor was surrounded by comic creators and a Cosplay Alley that featured cool displays from “Jurassic Park”, “Resident Evil” and “Ghostbusters,” to name a few. A standout was The Shadow Exhibit, which is dedicated to preserving film history and keeping it accessible to the fans. During the expo, they had original scripts and props from the first two Mummy films featuring Brendan Fraser. To see the artifacts that created one of the most popular action-adventure franchises in the 90s was incredible to see in person, and made me appreciate practical special effects compared to CGI that is often used in today’s movies. The rest of the show floor featured your standard fare of signed memorabilia, posters, and other collectables. A standout was the booth selling cosplaying rubber ducks from iconic characters from movies, TV shows, and video games.

If you missed the 2026 edition of Fan Expo Denver, they have already announced the dates of next year’s con, July 2 – 5, 2027, at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver.
