The Russo’s are back for one last spell with the help of some familiar faces. A marathon of the 4-part finale event kicks off Tuesday, Aug. 4, on Disney Channel (8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) and Disney Channel On Demand. All episodes will be available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
What to Expect in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 3
Season 3 picks up where Season 2 left off. Billie, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.
As previously announced, executive producer Selena Gomez will make her directorial debut with the premiere episode. She will also reprise her role as Alex Russo in multiple episodes.
Guest Cast: Brandon Micheal Hall will guest star as Damien Penwulf, Billie’s father. He joins the previously announced guest cast of Jennifer Stone (“Harper Finkle”), Gregg Sulkin (“Mason Greyback”), Maria Canals-Barrera (“Theresa Russo”), Ramon Reed (“Silas Evilini”)and Tobias Jelinek (“Lord Morsus”).
Since we first met Billie, she has had people trying to use her power for their own gain and agendas. Now she feels like all her power has done is put the people she loves in danger. She’s starting to see it as a curse and to protect the ones she cares about she even breaks her wand in two and surrenders her powers as she doesn’t believe she should have them.
While fans have speculated that Alex might be dead, based on the trailer we learn that is not the case. It seems she’s in another dimension and she’s gonna need Billie and Justin to bring her back.
Our hope is that when all is said and done that Alex, Damien and Billie will finally be able to be the family they have deprived themselves being when all their enemies no longer are a threat to their family.
