Temple of Geek host Chae’ Jones sat down with Cricket Green to talk about Season 5 of Big City Greens. What adventures is he excited about, what he learned about himself, his friendship with Remy, and more. Season five kicks off with the first five episodes premiering Aug. 21 on Disney Channel (8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) and the next day on Disney+. Additional episodes will roll out throughout the remainder of the year and 2027.
Cricket Green Has More Adventures in Big City Greens

Cricket and his family have been on many wacky adventures since they moved to Big City. And now that they split their time between Big City and the country, those adventures have doubled. When you think they’ve done it all, because how can you top going to space? The Green always has a way of surprising you.
Q: You’ve gone on a lot of adventures. Is there any new adventures in Season 5 that you are excited about?
Cricket Green: “I do get up to a lot of wild adventures. Coming up here, there was one day I hate to say it, but my family we kidnapped a country star. We lock him in our basement and force him to write an original song for our daddy. As a gift. You know what? It gets us in a lot of trouble, but our hearts are in the right place. Also, Tilly and I, we do get into some trouble in our Halloween episode. It’s spooky and scary, and our lives are at risk once again. But I’m talking to you so you know how it ends. I make it out alive.
Friendship

CRICKET, REMY
Ever since moving to Big City, Cricket found his best friend in Remy Remington. They compliment each other in the best way. Two completely different personalities that shouldn’t work but somehow just does. Those are always the greatest friendships that you need in your life. Not trying to change each other to be something or someone they’re not. Just acceptance of all of who they are.
Q: My favorite thing about you Cricket is your friendship with Remy. What do you love about Remy and your friendship?
Cricket Green: “Where do I begin, I love that guy so much. He’s my bestest friend in the whole wide world. I love him. I’d do anything for him. I just love how dang sweet he is. He’s a good guy. Well I’d be lying if I didn’t like all his stuff too. That’s besides the point. I like him. I like his stuff. But I like his character. He’s a really sweet guy. He’s got a good character and a good heart. I think it will hold up well for him too. Which is good that’s important.
What Cricket Green Has Learned About Himself
Cricket Green has found himself in many situations that end with him needing to learn a lesson. Morally and about himself. There are many lessons from Big City Green that we can learn about ourselves as viewers too. The best part of growing up is that there is still many things we can discover and learn about ourselves.

Q: What did you learn about yourself in Season 5 of Big City Greens?
Cricket Green: “Well I’m not much of a learner. I often learn these things but then it’s like in one ear out the other. I often reset, you know? Do you relate to that Chae’? You know January 1st rolls around you’re like I’m gonna be different. I’m not gonna do this no more. I’m not going ot eat oreos at 2 in the morning. And I’m going to be different from here on out. Two night later you’re woofing down a sleeve. It’s hard to change I guess is what I’m saying. I could sit here and lie and say I’ll work on it but come we all know what’s gonna happen. Let’s stop lying to ourselves. Let’s accept where we’re at.”
I love the sentiment accept where we’re at. So even indirectly Cricket has learned something about himself.
