What we’ve been playing

Amanda- I’ve downloaded a ton of games that I’m going to try out. They are all from Game Pass and include The Ascent a dungeon crawler from the look of it, Back4Blood from Left4Dead creators, Dark Alliance by DnD, Genesis Noir (which looks like a bit of you Stacy), Immortal Realms a vampire thing, Onno a cute puzzler, Outriders which I think is an RPG, planet coaster because why not, Prey because I remember the hype around this game when I was in college, Torchlight 3… I don’t remember what kind of game it was but I liked the box art and Tropico 6 which I’m booting up now. Tropico 6 is a fun, tongue-in-cheek city/government SIM with missions and objectives for specific scenarios. Fun, but gets a bit samey after a while. I then played Children of Morta, a fun but VERY HARD dungeon crawler with couch co-op options. Watch me exploit the level design to crack out a boss kill here.

Stacy-Flight simulator is hard. It’s really hard. Or I’m really not good at it. But the Ascent is a lot of fun and worth the Game Pass price tag if you’re in the market for a cool cyberpunk/top-down RPG.

Main topic – Memorable video game worlds

Today we are talking about our most memorable video game worlds. Places that stuck with us long after we stopped playing. What weird and wonderful worlds do you remember?

Amanda– For me that would be Subnautica, Bioshock, The Outer Worlds, Mario, and Sleeping Dogs.

Stacy– Bioshock as well, and the rest I guess you’ll have to listen to find out!
