Doctor Who: Flux
Chris Chibnall and Jodie Whittaker to leave Doctor Who in a trio of Specials, culminating in an epic blockbuster Special to air in FALL 2022, as part of the BBC’s Centenary celebrations. The new season of Doctor Who began airing on BBC One, BBC America, and BBC iPlayer on October 31st with further casting to be announced.
With a six-part season now into its third chapter, entitled Doctor Who: Flux, and two specials already planned for 2022, BBC One has now asked for an additional final feature-length adventure for the Thirteenth Doctor, to form a trio of specials for 2022, before the Doctor regenerates once more.
As of this recording, we are now three episodes into this season. Joining cast members Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, John Bishop, and Jacob Anderson is a slew of new enemies and friends of the Doctor. We also have a lot of returning monsters – Sontarans, Weeping Angels, Cybermen, and the Ood.
Newcomers include Robert Bathurst (Cold Feet, Toast Of London, Downton Abbey), Thaddea Graham (The Irregulars, Us), Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners, A Very English Scandal, World On Fire), Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean, Designated Survivor, Downton Abbey), Craig Parkinson (Line of Duty, Intergalactic, The English Game), Sara Powell (Unforgotten, Damned), Annabel Scholey (The Split, Britannia), Gerald Kyd (Cold Feet, Britannia) and Penelope Ann McGhie (The Crown, Harry Potter).
In this episode of the Temple of Geek Podcast, host Monica is joined by Temple of Geek editor Maddie, writer and cosplayer Elizabeth, also known as Lady of Time Cosplay, and friend of the podcast Taylor Deatherage. They discuss their overall feeling about the newest season, casting and characters, and what they hope to see before the Doctor regenerates again.

Taylor Deatherage is the geek community’s “Jack of All Trades”! She is a geek fashionista, cosplayer, designer, and creator who works with both Alien Entertainment Store and Chicago TARDIS. She has her own nerdy and accessory shop called Logan Arch and somehow still has time to be the published author of several collaborative works.
