Netflix and The Umbrella Academy team have been using their social media to tease fans about the upcoming third season. Today during the SXSW Conference it was announced that The Umbrella Academy Season 3 would debut on June 22nd.
The Umbrella Academy is based on Gerard Way’s comic book of the same name, which was illustrated by Gabriel Bá. The comic was published by
Dark Horse Comics and the show is produced by Universal Cable Productions for Netflix, with Steve Blackman serving as executive producer and showrunner. The story of a group of adopted siblings with supernatural abilities that were born around the world at the same time and with no warning. Assembled by their adopted father into the Umbrella Academy, they use their powers to stop the forces of evil around the world and across time periods.

The date was revealed in a teaser trailer posted on The Umbrella Academy social media channels. The third season will stream exclusively on Netflix on June 22nd.

After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all.

Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?
New Cast for Season 3
The series stars Elliot Page as Vanya Hargreeves, Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves, David Castañeda as Diego Hargreeves, Emmy Raver-Lampan as AllisonHargreeves, Robert Sheehan as KlausHargreeves, Aidan Gallagher as Five, Justin H. Min as BenHargreeves, Colm Feore as ReginaldHargreeves, Ritu Arya as Lila. New to the show will be Justin Cornwell as Marcus, Britne Oldford as Fei, Jake Epstein as Alphonso, Genesis Rodriguez as Sloane, and Cazzie David as Jayme. These newcomers will make up The Sparrow Academy.
Season 3 Episode Titles
Back in June of 2021 the episode names for season 3 were revealed. Giving fans the impression that we would be seeing the new season drop in the fall of 2021. But it will be almost a full year before we actually get to see these episodes.
