Photos from Loungefly’s “Summer of Loungefly” event

Loungefly’s biggest brand experience of the year, “Summer of Loungefly” took place a few days ago and was hosted at Los Angeles’ iconic Goya Studios. This interactive experience celebrated Loungefly’s latest summer collections through themed activations and immersive photo opportunities. It also gave us a look at some of the great styles Loungefly has been working on for fans.

“Summer of Loungefly”

On August 13th, Loungefly transformed Goya Studios into an event space with six colorful, over-the-top areas, each representing a different summer collection. The space provided fans with interactive photo opportunities, themed snacks, and special character appearances. There was a Marvel-themed area that featured a backdrop of the New York Skyline and a Spider-Man ready to pose for photos. A rainbow and candy-colored area dedicated to Care Bears as well as a wild and funky rainbow-colored inspired Lisa Frank area. The spirit of things was really on display here.

One of the things that we have constantly stated about Loungefly is that they really know fandoms. And they know how to tap into the moments of fandom that speak to us. For example, they had an area dedicated to The Goofy Movie, which had a campground theme. And so of course, that just triggers nostalgia. There was just so much fun stuff happening at this event.

Newest Collections

The event allowed guests to immerse themselves in all things Loungefly and Stitch Shoppe, the brand’s first high-end apparel line, with fan-favorite collections that showcase Lisa Frank, Care Bears, Sanrio, Disney, and more. You can check out pricing and more information on all the latest arrivals on the Lougefly website.

Aladin

I think some of our favorite items were the Stitch Shoppe collections. There is something to be said about being able to wear your heart (fandom) on your sleeve. We fall in love with stories and characters that we see on television, in film, and in books. Those stories empower us and help us feel seen and heard. So being able to wear something that celebrates the thing that you have a connection with feels good. The fact that these sizes go up to 4X is also really great.  And hopefully, we’ll get even more size inclusivity as new collections launch.

Goofy Movie

Cupcake Mickey

The Mickey Mouse Sprinkle Cupcake Cosplay Mini Backpack just screams summer at the parks! The cherry on top is especially adorable.

Hercules

It’s the summer of anniversaries. Hercules is celebrating 25 years! You can check out the entire collection here.

Sanrio

For more information on pricing and more and to check out the latest Sanrio arrivals check out the Lougefly website.

Care Bears

To quote the viral TikTok, “This is so cute! Are you shi**ing me?! Capitalism really popped off today…”. Check out the Care Bears collection here. This pastel collection is like a warm hug! A fun reminder of  Saturday morning cartoons and friendship. It’s wild to believe that Care Bears are now celebrating 40 years! But that’s just proof that caring for others stands the test of time!

Lisa Frank

The way that 10-year-old me would have gone nuts for this collection! And of course,  Lisa Frank not only has a huge nostalgia factor but it’s also reflective of a desire to be unapologetically yourself. It’s giving a sense of youth, imagination, and joy! The collection is available here.

Marvel

The urge to buy everything marvel from Loungefly is strong. The fact that there are tons of options almost makes it harder to choose! Check out these styles and more on their website.
