The voice acting for Twilight of the Gods is incredible. We asked how they ultimately ended up with the cast that they have. Both Zack Snyder and Wesley Coller are thrilled with the Twilight of the Gods cast.

Zack Snyder mentions that he enjoyed working with both familiar and fresh talent. He says:

For me,  a lot of it is like a family affair. You know, the cast is, made up of some, you know, people, whether it be Jamie Chung, or Lorne Cohen or Stuart [Martin], you know, people that I’ve worked with before. And then, you know, people that I thought were cool. Like Pilou [Asbæk] and some others that I was just, like…I’d love to work with them.

Snyder goes on to say that everyone that they spoke to about the series was on board right away. He says, “When we went out to them with the show and the art, you know, pretty much everyone we went after was into it.” This is no surprise, as the animation and story are instantly intriguing and intense.

Not only that, but Snyder also boasts that, “if you look at the cast…If we did a live action version, they could all play themselves and that would be pretty great.”

Wesley Coller adds that, with animation, it is easier to work with people exactly the right people than with a live action due to the ask of time. He says:

If you can find people that you’d like to work with and there’s that interest, like in this case there was, it’s possible to carve that time out. And this was also interesting because…it was, you know, a lot of, remote work as well… So, you know, navigating that component of it.
