About Day of the Devs
Day of the Devs, established in 2012, is a nonprofit organization focused on bringing care and attention to smaller development teams, and to give back to the community at large. Markedly a great collaboration between Double Fine Productions and iam8bit, their mission is “to celebrate the creativity, diversity and magic of video games, give a voice to emerging or underrepresented talent, and to connect players with developers, and their games.”
Day of the Devs is a free platform for developers to show off their work, and as a nonprofit is reliant on sponsors, donations, and community support.

About the Game Awards
Geoff Keighley’s annual celebration of the video game industry is in its tenth year. Fans can expect the usual fanfare; game reveals, exclusive world premieres, special guests, and of course, the awards. The Game Awards “recognizes and upholds creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry”. So since it’s a milestone anniversary, one can hope for some big announcements at this year’s show.
