The 2025 Saturn Award Nominations Announced

On December 4th, The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films announced the nominees for their 52nd Saturn Awards. Honoring the best in genre entertainment, the awards will be held on February 2nd, 2025 at The Hilton Universal City Hotel in Los Angeles.

For the first time in the Saturn Awards’ history, the ceremony will be will be exclusively streamed LIVE both on Electric Entertainment’s ElectricNOW platform and The Roku Channel. Viewers can stream The Roku Channel for free, with no subscription or sign-up required. Comedian/actor Joel McHale returns to host the Saturn Awards, and this year’s show is dedicated to the memory of producer Jon Landau, best known for producing blockbuster films such as Avatar and Titanic.

On the feature side, Dune: Part Two and Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice led the nominations, amassing 14 and 13 respectively.

For TV, the Amazon video game adaptation “Fallout” led with 5 nominations.

This year also sees the introduction of a new category, Best Genre Comedy Television Series, to highlight more offbeat, quirky and darkly humorous series such as “Chucky,” “Ghosts,” and “What We Do in the Shadows”.
