Hello Kitty Island Adventure Sells Over Half a Million Copies

Hello Kitty Island Adventure has sold over half a million copies digitally on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in its first 30 days. The Sanrio game quickly rose in popularity, with 4.9/5 stars and over 114,000 on Apple Arcade, and 93% positive reviews on Steam. Sanrio and Sunblink originally released the game on January 30, 2025.

The game’s first Deluxe Edition will be available in stores March 25 and retails for $59.99. The physical edition can be preordered here. Players can purchase the Standard Edition for $39.99 and Deluxe Edition on the Nintendo eShop and Steam. The Deluxe Edition comes with over 300 exclusive items and rewards. The Deluxe Starter and Craft Bundle gives players legacy clothing, furniture, and cosmetics from past seasonal events.

Additionally, players will be able to catch the springtime update if they play before April 7. This includes limited-time challenges, and new decorations and outfits.

About Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a collaboration between Hello Kitty’s parent company Sanrio and Boulder, Colorado-based game studio Sunblink. It follows Hello Kitty and her friends on Friendship Island. Friends work together to restore the island and uncover mysteries along the way. Players can solve puzzles, play games, decorate their homes, and unlock quests by becoming close with other Sanrio characters. Players can invite their friends to their island to play multiplayer challenges and build homes together.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, Nintendo Switch Lite and PC via Steam, and Apple Arcade.
