With Season 2 on the horizon, the stars and filmmakers of Lucasfilm’s highly acclaimed series “Andor” celebrate the premier in Hollywood. Stars Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Forest Whitaker and Benjamin Norris walked the red carpet to celebrate the final season.

Along with the premier, Disney+ released a new featurette, featuring Diego Luna, who plays the titular character Cassian Andor.
Familiar Faces on the Red Carpet
Alongside the stars and filmmakers of “Andor” were some familiar faces. Star Wars content creators and cosplayers graced the red carpet at the premier event. Whether they’re cosplaying or overanalyzing scenes of their favorite character, fans and creators bring so much love and appreciation to the world of Star Wars. After all, without these dedicated fans, the Star Wars universe wouldn’t be where it is today.
Those attending shared photos of the premier, selfies with the cast, and eating Syril’s blue milk cereal. While there were some amazing coplays like Dedra and Jyn, other fans looked ready to join the rebellion, with one rocking a cape with Nemik’s manifesto. However, one cosplayer towered above the rest – that’s right, a full size K-2SO puppet! Check out some highlights below.
What to Expect in “Andor” Season 2
The second season of “Andor” takes place as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound. Rife with political intrigue and danger, the series is a prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction—The Death Star—setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film. “Andor” sets the clock back five years from the events of “Rogue One” to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.
The final season will unfold over 12 episodes broken down into four chapters of three episodes each. The first chapter of Season 2 will premiere April 22, with subsequent chapters debuting each week, exclusively on Disney+.
