LA Comic Con 2022 | What to expect when attending

LA Comic Con 2022 is coming, and that means amazing things for the nerds of Southern California! There is truly something for everyone as we anticipate one of the last conventions of the year.

LA Comic Con 2022

First up, we have amazing comic book creators to look forward to, including Scott Snyder and Ryan Ottley. Both  Snyder and Ottley are known for Marvel and DC, as well as the amazing independent hero comic, Invincible. 

Some of the biggest names in nerdom will also be joining LA Comic Con 2022. 

Lord of The Rings

Sean Astin and Elijah Wood are going to be available for photos and autographs. They will also take the Main Stage on Saturday, December 3rd to discuss what happened behind the scenes to make Peter Jackson’s blockbuster Lord of the Rings film trilogy come to life. Don’t miss a chance to hang out with Middle Earth’s coolest hobbits. 

The Mandalorian

If high fantasy isn’t your thing, then LA Comic Con is also traveling to a galaxy far far away with some of the cast of The Mandalorian. These incredible actors will be talking about the show as well as being available to fans for autographs and photo-ops.

The Mandalorian took Disney+ by storm and has become tremendously popular during its first two seasons. This Star Wars story, set in the years after the fall of the Galactic Empire, tells the tale of a member of the race of bounty hunters that spawned Boba Fett. Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) and Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) will regale convention goers with tales from one of the most innovative production sets ever built.

 

7th Annual National Cosplay Championship

In addition to all of the wonderful nerd content coming your way, there will also be plenty of opportunities for cosplayers to show off. This year’s LACC cosplay contest has a cash prize of $30,000, so pull out your best anime, superhero, or otherwise fiction-based cosplay and join the 7th annual contest. 

Cosplayers will be able to compete for $30,000 in cash and other prizes in the 7th Annual Cosplay National Championship by participating in one of three categories: Master, Journeyman, or Novice. All genres are welcome, including characters from film, television, theater, comics, video games, sci-fi, anime, horror, and original creations.
