Producer Brad Winderbaum says the animated series isn’t a remake, but a continuation for existing fans and a fresh entry point for newcomers. He emphasizes the show’s mature themes, a hallmark of the X-Men, that resonate with viewers of all ages.
The series picks up 10 years after the original series with the team in disarray following Professor X’s loss. Familiar characters like Cyclops and Jean Grey grapple with new threats and mutant-human tensions.
