Bungo Stray Dogs English Cast Interview | Anime Las Vegas

Anime Las Vegas took place April 22nd and 23rd at the Expo at World Market Center. This anime convention provided fans with the opportunity to meet so many different voice actors from a lot of different anime. Among those voice actors were Kaiji Tang, Brian Beacock, and David Vincent. These voice actors are part of the Bungo Stray Dogs English dub cast. We spoke to them about Bungo Stray Dogs and what they are looking forward to in the new season, coming July 2023.

Bungo Stray Dogs English Cast Interview

The anime Bungo Stray Dogs is based on the manga series with the same name written by Kafka Asagiri. Each character in the series is named after a well-known author. Some of them have special powers, or abilities, that are inspired by one of their name sake’s literary works.

Kaiji Tang (Dazai), Brian Beacock (Akutagawa), and David Vincent (Oda, Fukuchi) talked a little bit about their feelings looking at the upcoming fifth season.

David Vincent said:

I’ve just been thrilled to be part of the franchise. Any time a new season comes out, I always get excited because I get excited to see what’s going to happen next. Where’s the storyline going to go? So, for me, it is just an exciting update.

Brian Beacock said:

I was excited because Akutagawa was not in season four. So finally, we would see him. And I am excited and, no spoilers: sad and interested to see what happens in season five, chapter 88.

Kaiji Tang said:

Season four was wild. I’m glad we don’t have to wait two years for a new season. That was really nice. I tried to keep myself spoiler-free for season four, and that turned out to be a mistake because I’ve been in jail. Right? So literally, literally every time we recorded a session for season four, I had to ask the director, “What’s happening? What’s happening in the show? Literally, what is going on?” You know? So that’s been my season four experience; just sitting in a jail cell. So, I’m really excited to see what season five has in store just so I can see what is happening!
