During a virtual panel hosted by the Television Critics Association, Darren Abbott, President of Hallmark Media and Hallmark Chief Brand Officer, and Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming for Hallmark Media unwrapped premiere dates for three of this year’s most highly anticipated original holiday movies. Shared it’s annual Fall into Love programming event will feature two all-new original Halloween movies, premiering the first two Saturdays in October. More of their beloved stars will bring comfort and joy into their homes during the network’s upcoming 17th Annual Countdown to Christmas programming event, the undisputed #1 destination for holiday movies. Hallmark has greenlit Change of Heart, an all-new original scripted series, set to premiere in 2027, exclusively on Hallmark+.
Kicking Off Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark Channel
Now in its 17th year, America’s #1 holiday programming event, Countdown to Christmas, will get its biggest kickoff yet from America’s #1 sport, when Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story premieres Friday, October 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel and streams next day on Hallmark+.
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True brings holiday magic into viewers’ homes when it premieres Saturday, November 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, streams next day on Hallmark+. Hallmark Media and Walt Disney World® Resort, The Most Magical Place On Earth, team up for the first time ever for an all-new, original holiday movie filled with magic and romance. Lacey Chabert (Haul Out the Holly, Mean Girls) and Travis Van Winkle (Good Sam, ’Tis the Season to be Merry) star in Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. Richard Kind (Only Murders in the Building, Inside Out), Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible, Even Stevens) Bryce Durfee (General Hospital), Taegen Burns (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers) and Asher Alexander (Hal & Harper) have also been cast, while Patrick Renna (You Gotta Believe, The Sandlot) is featured in a cameo role.
A Grand Biltmore Christmas transports the audience into the Gilded Age when it premieres Saturday, December 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and streams next day on Hallmark+. Holland Roden (Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, Teen Wolf) and Niall Matter (We Met in December, This Time Each Year) are acquaintances in the Gilded Age who become more than that in the present-day in a brand-new holiday love story set at Biltmore Estate. Jonathan Frakes (A Biltmore Christmas, Star Trek: Picard) reprises his role from the original 2023 film.

Meghan Ory (Chesapeake Shores, Sullivan’s Crossing), Kevin McGarry (When Calls the Heart, The Wedding Veil) team up in The Spirit of Halloween – a Halloween take on A Christmas Carol. Lachlan Quarmby (Hope Valley: 1874, Providence Falls) also appears as the Ghost of Halloween Future. The movie premieres Saturday, October 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel and streams next day on Hallmark+.
New Original Countdown to Christmas Movies Incoming
Alison Sweeney (Hannah Swensen Mysteries) and Ashley Williams (An Alpine Holiday), who previously starred in and executive produced the 2025 films To Barcelona, With Love and To Barcelona, Forever, announced that they will reunite in a new movie. That takes them on a multi-state holiday adventure when they star and executive produce once again. Steve Lund (Garage Sale Mysteries, She’s Making a List) also stars in the untitled movie written by Alejandro Alcoba (Another Life, Holly Hobbie) with Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe (Pie to Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, This Time Each Year) directing. Hallmark’s Make Her Mark Women’s Directing Program participant Sarah Wilson Thacker is set to shadow Lowe.
Tamera Mowry-Housley (Tidings for the Season, Haunted Harmony Mysteries) and Kristoffer Polaha (Missing the Boat, A Grand Ole Opry Christmas) will star together for the first time in Mistletoe and Mimosas. Mowry-Housley also serves as executive producer and Russell Hainline (Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!, Three Wisest Men) penned the script. Mowry-Housley fights to save her uncle’s Christmas themed bar legacy from being taken over bt Polaha’s competing bar.
Production on both movies begins this month in Vancouver, B.C.
Jonathan Bennett (A Keller Christmas Vacation¸ General Hospital) and Italia Ricci (Tracker, Catch Me if You Claus) will light up the screen as two perennially single friends who do their best to avoid their well-meaning families’ matchmaking efforts. Production on the movie wrapped last month.
