Natalie Van Sistine at the “SPYxFAMILY CODE: White” Premiere

Crunchyroll hosted the SPYxFAMILY CODE: White premiere in Los Angeles. Among the celebrities and influencers on the red carpet was each of the main cast of voice actors. Natalie Van Sistine voices Yor Forger. Yor is the mother of Anya and wife of Loid, but she is also a dangerous assassin in the SPYxFAMILY series. We spoke with Natalie about the film and Yor’s journey since season one.

Natalie Van Sistine is a voice actor who is known for voicing characters such as Serval (Honkai: Star Rail), James Bond / Irene Adler (Moriarty the Patriot), and Star and Stripe (My Hero Academia).

SPYxFAMILY CODE: White follows the Forger family on vacation. What starts out as a lovely family outing turns into a fight for world peace!

We spoke with Natalie in 2022 at Anime Expo when the series just began. She noticed so many cosplayers already when the series started. Seeing just how popular SPYxFAMILY is exciting for her.

“I thought this would be like popular, but I didn’t realize it was going to be this big. So, to just watch the momentum keep going and to get to this point is really, really surreal. So I’m like, I’m totally blown away. I’m so excited and I’m pinching myself like, how is this real?”

Natalie goes on to talk about how Yor is finding her confidence as a mother and wife. Yor sees that family is not one specific thing. “Family can look like a lot of different things and normally when they are being themselves the most, we get to see other people go, ‘Hey, look, look at that great family over there.’ So I love that.”

About SPYxFAMILY

SpyxFamily is an anime based on the Shonen Jump manga of the same name. The Forger family is not what they seem. Agent Twilight is a spy tasked with a mission to bring peace to the east and western nations. In this mission, he must form a fake family in order to get close to his primary target. He adopts a young girl, Anya, who is actually a telepath. Then, he gets married out of convenience to a woman named Yor, who also needs to be married for the sake of her own job. Yor Forger, the fake wife of Loid Forger (Agent Twilight), is actually an assassin.

Anya is the only one in the Forger family who knows both of her parents’ true selves. The series follows their ups and downs of being a family as well as each of their fights for world peace.

SPYxFAMILY CODE: White hits theaters on April 19th. Seasons one and two of the series are available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
