The beloved series, “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” is celebrating its 20th anniversary at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2025! Nickelodeon is bringing an epic homage to the Avatar universe with an immersive experience, both on the convention floor and outside. Also, Nickelodeon will host a panel with some of the original cast.

SDCC is headed to the San Diego Convention Center and Downtown San Diego July 24-27, 2025.

Daily Booth Activities

Fans of Aang and his friends will explore the four nations in Nickelodeon’s 1,800 square-foot booth (#4113). There are plenty of photo opportunities as well as activities to partake in throughout the convention weekend.

• The Boy in the Iceberg Photo Opportunity: Snap a selfie with the moment that started it all! Fans can take photos with a 20-foot-tall iceberg with Aang and Appa inside.
• Wulong Forest Gif Activation: Step into the Wulong Forest and watch the rock columns come to life. The 10-foot recreation of the gorgeous landscape becomes a shareable 180-degree digital gif, perfect for any Avatar fan.
• Appa Photo and Digital Gif Opportunity: After exiting the Wulong Forest, fans are greeted by a 9-foot Appa. Take a photo with the iconic flying bison and receive a special printed photo and shareable digital gif. Be on the lookout for a surprise appearance in the gif itself!
• Augmented Reality (AR) Bending Journey: Discover and scan special areas around the booth to begin AR experiences that bring your favorite characters to life!
• My Cabbages!: Each morning, when the booth opens, fans will have the opportunity to receive an exclusive tote bag containing a cabbage and recipe cards. These are limited in availability at the market stall area.
• Customized Baseball T-Shirt and Tote Station: Purchase a t-shirt and tote bag and personalize them at the booth! Fans can choose characters and art from nine fan-favorite shows and movies: “Avatar: The Last Airbender (ATLA),” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Hey Arnold!,” “Rugrats,” “Danny Phantom,” “The Smurfs,” and “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.”
• Choose Your Nation!: A special “Avatar: The Last Airbender” customization feature allows fans to pick from the four nations: Water, Earth, Air, and Fire. Non-benders can stick with a general ATLA item.
• Autograph Signings, Costumed Characters, Retail, and Giveaways: Voice talent, producers, and the composer of ATLA will be signing at select times. Also, SpongeBob and Patrick will make appearances at the Nickelodeon booth throughout the convention. Purchase exclusive figures and collectibles, t-shirts, and more! Stay tuned for special giveaways happening as well.

Outdoor Activation

During San Diego Comic-Con, Petco Park Interactive Zone will feature a Magic: The Gathering x Avatar activation. This includes an immersive photo-op with the iconic cabbage cart, a cosplayer as the Cabbage Merchant, a special Katara promotional card, and an oversized giveaway bag with a recipe card from the upcoming “Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Official Baking Book.” The activation will be open Thursday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
