“The Mighty Nein” is just around the corner. The animated series is a political espionage thriller set during a war between two nations. When seven misfits, criminals, and outsiders are unexpectedly pulled together. With dangers and political pitfalls at every turn, this motley crew will be forced to step up. They may be the only hope to stop the war, although these are not the heroes anyone would have chosen.
“The Mighty Nein” introduces a slew of new characters, a new era of Exandria, and a new part of the world. On top of that, this series is tonally different from “The Legend of Vox Machina,” which is more comedic and in line with classic epic fantasy stories. To introduce these characters and this world, Temple of Geek has launched “Nine Days Until The Mighty Nein.” So far in this series we’ve introduced Fjord Stone, Jester Lavorre, Beau Lionett, Caleb Widogast, and Nott The Brave.
Meet Mollymauk Tealeaf Of The Mighty Nein
In episode 6 we are introducing Mollymauk Tealeaf. Mollymauk is played by Taliesin Jaffe, who played Percival de Rolo in “The Legend of Vox Machina” and Campaign 1. He is a tiefling blood hunter. Blood hunters are warriors who use blood magic to enhance their fighting. Mollymauk is the fortune teller and, it seems, in the animated series, the ringmaster of The Fletching and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities.
He learned his craft from the former fortune teller of the carnival, Lestera, before inheriting her tarot deck. Mollymauk uses his skills with the cards and fast talking to bring in new audiences for the struggling carnival. Quick-witted and clever Mollymauk can also hold his own in a fight when he needs to. When the Mighty Nein comes together unexpectedly at the carnival, he unexpectedly becomes tied to these chaotic oddballs.
“The Mighty Nein” premieres on Prime Video November 19. The first episode is available on the Prime Video YouTube now through November 16. Check back tomorrow for another episode of “Nine Days Until The Mighty Nein.”
