During Riot’s stream for the Riftbound Regional Qualifier tournament in Vancouver, BC, the League of Legends creator showed off new details and art for their fifth set called Radiance. For the first time ever, this set will launch simultaneously in English, Simplified Chinese, and French. Riftbound launched in China before the rest of the world, and with this set’s launch every country will get to play the TCG’s newest expansions together.
Long-time League fans can expect a nice variety of Champions getting the cardboard treatment. Radiance features characters from the iconic MOBA that are both new to Riftbound and have been represented in cards before. You’ll be able to do battle with favorites like Ekko, Jarvan, Evelynn, Seraphine, and Fizz. Riftbound expansion names have always hinted a bit at what theme or mechanics you’ll find when you finally get the chance to crack packs, and Radiance is no different. According to Riot’s press release, this set “centers on players finding ingenious, inventive solutions across Runeterra, whether through performance, big plays, or big turn”. Preview for Radiance run from September 28 to October 9, and the set launches worldwide on October 23. See the new art from Radiance below.

Riftbound: Vendetta
But before Radiance comes Vendetta, the fourth and next set with a release looming on July 31. Even more popular League characters enter the fray, like Akali, Shen, and Ambessa. But Vendetta also finally introduces the three unused Domain pairings, opening up even more deckbuilding possibilities. Previews for Vendetta run from July 6 through July 17. And make sure to be on the lookout during this window; Temple of Geek may have an exclusive card or two to show off like we did with the second set Spiritforged.
Aside from Riftbound, Temple of Geek covers all kinds of trading card games, from Magic: The Gathering to the Cyberpunk TCG.
