Marvel in Hall H at SDCC 2026- what a night. After taking 2025 off, Marvel Studios returned with their usual fanfare and internet-breaking announcements about the MCU’s future. Kevin Feige announced at the start of the panel that this would be mostly about upcoming Marvel movies, with little news about the Disney+ shows. Let’s take a look at everything they announced!
“Avengers: Endgame” Re-Release
The first announcement of the night was confirmation that “Avengers: Endgame” will be re-releasing in movie theaters. Showtimes start September 25th and a new trailer was shown in Hall H for the re-release. It has been reported that new footage will be included with this re-release that will tie into events in “Avengers: Doomsday.”
Marvel Hall H SDCC 2026: What’s Next
Of course, no Marvel Hall H panel would be complete without announcing new projects for the MCU. Outside of “Doomsday”, “Secret Wars”, and a few upcoming seasons of Disney+ shows, not much was known about the MCU’s future before tonight. Let’s take a look at what they’ve announced at their 2026 panel.
The first big reveal of the night is that Ryan Gosling will be joining the MCU as Ghost Rider. This is a role that Gosling has talked about for a long time, and now it’s a reality. “Ghost Rider” will be directed by Shawn Levy (“Deadpool & Wolverine”) and release in 2028.
Next, Jon Bernthal (the Punisher) took the stage to talk about “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Fans in Hall H were treated to a look at the Spider-Man versus Hulk fight- one that the Punisher is trying to help with! The movie releases on July 31st.
“Avengers: Doomsday”
At Marvel’s SDCC panel in 2024, we first got the news that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU to play Doctor Doom. Now with “Doomsday” looming, fans in Hall H got even more news about the upcoming movie. Before the panel even began, fans in the audience were given Doom masks and capes before the panel started.
The Russo Brothers, directing “Doomsday” for the MCU, took to the Hall H stage. Shortly after, cast members from the movie from both the Avengers and X-Men teams also joined them in the room. And, of course, Robert Downey Jr and Pedro Pascal- Doom and Reed Richards.
Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) is also now confirmed to return in “Doomsday”, joining Chris Evans (Steve Rogers) on stage at SDCC. She is one of the first new cast members we have gotten for “Doomsday” since the livestream announcing most of the movie’s cast.
Next, Ryan Reynolds popped up in the audience in Hall H dressed as Deadpool- but in a grey version of his suit. Deadpool will make an appearance in “Doomsday” as well.
A new poster was released for the movie, featuring Doom. Attendees also got a look at con-exclusive footage from the movie. According to IGN’s reporting, the footage included Sue Storm speaking about Doom’s past and fights among the likes of Thor, Shang-Chi, Shuri, and Gambit. Doom also raises an army of Sentinels.
“Black Panther 3”
Director Ryan Coogler had one last surprise announcement for Marvel’s Hall H SDCC 2026 panel: “Black Panther 3.”
The sequel will release December 15, 2028. And it will give us T’Challa’s son, now all grown up and looking to take up the Black Panther mantel. David Jonsson (“Alien: Romulus”, “The Long Walk”), joins the MCU as T’Challa II.

The next big event where fans can expect news from Marvel is D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Here we will likely get more news about upcoming Disney+ Marvel shows, but more news about “Doomsday” and other movies is likely as well.
