When “Blink” debuted in 2007, it made Doctor Who fans scurry behind furniture and forever scared of angel statues – yet also made it one of the most recommended episodes to hook in new Who fans. Since then, the Weeping Angels have reappeared in later Doctor Who seasons, adding new abilities to their creepy skillsets. Now, the Weeping Angels pull you into a new “Doctor Who” mobile game.
Del Rey to Publish Critical Role: Vox Machina Kith & Kin. Del Rey a division of Penguin Random House is set to release Critical Role: Vox Machina – Kith & Kin. A brand new original novel!
Disney+ announced that Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has the most-watched series premiere of any show on Disney+ so far. Its premiere episode joins the rankings of the series premiere of WandaVision and the season 2 premiere of The Mandalorian. This series stars Anthony Mackie as the Falcon/Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, and two of the six episodes are currently available for streaming on the Disney+ service.
Netflix’s original show The Irregulars airs today, March 26th. The Irregulars is a twist on the Sherlock Holmes stories. A group of teenagers is manipulated by Doctor John Watson and his mysterious partner, Sherlock Holmes. The murders take a turn for the supernatural, and now the teens must work to save the world.
Godzilla Vs. Kong is coming from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. The fate of the world hangs in the balance as these two legendary monsters battle it out. Starring Milly Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), this film is set to release in select theaters and on HBO Max on March 31st.
Earlier this week, Killing Eve actress Sandra Oh gave a speech to a group of protesters. These protesters were protesting the recent Atlanta murders and the increase in Asian hate crimes throughout the United States. She stated, “One way to go through our fear is to reach out to our community. As Asian-Americans, we need to reach out to our brothers and sisters.”
Amazon Prime’s original series Invincible premiered today, March 26th. Starring Sandra Oh, Steven Yeun, JK Simmons, Seth Rogan, Mark Hamill, and many more, this series is an adult, animated super hero show centered around 17-year old Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun). Viewer discretion advised.
James Gunn and Warner Bros. Studios released a new trailer for The Suicide Squad today. This film is long awaited and has a star-studded cast. It is set to be released in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6, 2021.
WonderCon@Home took place over the weekend. The event was filled with new and exclusive videos, featuring special guests and panels that would have been featured at WonderCon Anaheim 2020. All videos are currently available to view for free.
