Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Episode 10 “The Last Generation”
The Next Generation crew, using the U.S.S. Enterprise-D as the last remaining ship not connected to the rest of the fleet, finally come face-to-face with their greatest adversary and to Starfleet–The Borg. Although they may be the last stand in saving the people of Earth and Starfleet, they are not alone.
The U.S.S. Titan has been taken over by The Borg. Young starfleet officers became assimilated through Jack Crusher, who became assimilated into The Borg collective as “Võx.” Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), along with a small crew of unassimilated officers fight their way to retake the Titan while attempting to survive the barrage of attacks of Borg-assimilated Starfleet ships. The stakes are high for both the crew of the Enterprise-D and The Titan to save the next generation in an epic conclusion to the series, and it does not come without some bit of sacrifice.
Overall Impressions
Overall, this is an episode that should leave fans satisfied with a story told through beautiful visuals, character arcs, and some of the best humor that only the TNG crew and family can deliver. The series conclusion gives the crew of The Next Generation its much-deserved proper closure while allowing future Trek stories to be told.
