Sk8 the Infinity has finally revealed the release date for the OVA (original video animation) on their Twitter/X account. Along with its release date came a new visual poster, revealing the name of the OVA: Sk8 the Infinity: Extra Part!

Sk8 the Infinity began its rebroadcast in Japan, and following the rebroadcast of the second episode came the news of the OVA release date. In Japan, Sk8 fans will have the opportunity to watch the short stories in theaters, beginning January 24, 2025. The 25-minute OVA will be physically released on March 19th of the same year.
Each story will focus on a different set of characters. In January of this year, the very first story and visual were announced at the Sk8 special event in Okinawa. Fans got a look at a high school-age Joe and Cherry. Then, in August, they revealed the second to be about Adam and Tadashi.
Now, we have the third and newest visual. It depicts Reki, Langa, and Miya in what look to be sleep clothes or pajamas of some kind.
While the exact storylines are unknown, each mini story now has a title:
- “Ame to Neko Konbini Aisu Soda Aji”
- “Maji de Maji ni Nareru Koto”
- “Morning Routine”
- “Ganbare, Hiromi-chan!”
In order of the list above, the stories will center around Reki, Langa, and Miya, then a young Joe and Cherry, Adam and Tadashi, and Shadow.
There is still no release date for the second season.
Fans are Beyond Excited for the News
Sk8 the Infinity fans flooded Twitter/X today with their excitement over the news. The first season of the anime ended in 2021, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more of their favorite skaters. It has been two solid years since the OVA was announced, and to have an official release date is huge for the community of fans.
The English voice actors also took to social media to express their excitement.

Reki meets Langa Hasegawa, a transfer student, and teaches him how much fun skateboarding is.
