Bleach: The Calamity Trailer Is Here

Get ready for the biggest chapter the Soul Society has ever seen. Bleach: The Thousand Year-Blood War is officially coming to an end with its final part, Calamity.

Tite Kubo’s Bleach, considered one of the Big Three of manga—alongside Naruto and One Piece—first took the world by storm in 2001. Its popularity quickly rose with an anime adaptation in 2004, four films, several light novels, and even a stage play. The series tells the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high schooler who can see spirits of the dead. After receiving Soul Reaper powers from Rukia Kuchiki, he becomes a substitute Soul Reaper, helping the dead move on, whether they’re peaceful souls or evil ones called Hollows.

The manga ran from until 2016, ending with an explosive arc called The Thousand Year-Blood War, which saw the rivalry of the Soul Reapers and the Quincies reach its boiling point. Though the series ended in 2016, the anime first concluded in 2012, right after the FullBring arc. Ten years later, Bleach was revived, much to the delight of lifelong fans, when the final part of the story was finally adapted with updated animation and a much darker tone.

Told in four parts, The Blood Warfare, The Separation, and The Conflict, Tite Kubo’s masterpiece will conclude properly with The Calamity.

The Official Trailer

The Calamity is set to premiere in July 2026, though fans don’t have to wait that long. In addition, fans will get to enjoy behind-the-scenes conversations with chief series director, Tomohisa Taguchi, series director Hikaru Murata, and the brains behind Bleach himself, Tite Kubo!
