Gotham City returns to San Diego. Prime Video has officially announced that its critically acclaimed animated noir series, Batman: Caped Crusader, will kick off the streaming giant’s 2026 San Diego Comic-Con lineup on Thursday, July 23.
SDCC 2026: Batman: Caped Crusader Season Two Advanced Screening and Q&A with Cast and Crew
Fans attending the convention will be treated to a world-premiere advanced screening of the highly anticipated Season Two premiere episode. Following the screening, a live Q&A session will feature members of the voice cast and the creative minds driving the dark, retro-inspired iteration of the Dark Knight.
Produced by animation and comic royalty, including J.J. Abrams (Bad Robot), Matt Reeves (6th & Idaho), and Bruce Timm, the series has been widely praised for capturing the moody, hard-boiled detective roots of the character. Organizers are teasing a major surprise for those who stick around until the very end, noting in the announcement, “you never know who has the last laugh.”
