Nickelodeon at SDCC 2026: “Fun-ergy Factory” and Outdoor Slime Experience

Nickelodeon is officially bringing the ultimate celebration of “kid-ness” to Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) 2026. This year, the entertainment powerhouse is doubling down on its signature spirit of play with two massive activations: the interactive “FUN-ERGY FACTORY” on the convention center floor and “Fun Flows Here,” a larger-than-life outdoor experience at The New Children’s Museum Park.

Whether you are a lifelong fan or introducing a new generation to your favorite cartoons, Nickelodeon’s 2026 lineup promises nonstop play, nostalgic throwbacks, and of course plenty of iconic green slime.

Inside Booth 4113: The “FUN-ERGY FACTORY”

Spanning an impressive 1,800 square feet, Nickelodeon’s main convention floor booth is fueled entirely by fan power. Attendees of all ages can participate in interactive challenges and immersive photo-ops inspired by the network’s most beloved franchises, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Inside the Booth Highlights:

  • The 20-Foot Slime Surge: Fans can work together to complete interactive challenges that generate “fun-ergy,” building toward the ultimate payoff, a massive, nearly 20-foot-tall Slime Surge.
  • “Enter the Splat”: A tactile, fully immersive environment that lets fans literally step inside the iconic Nickelodeon world for perfect, surprise-filled photo and video moments.
  • TMNT Sewer Lair: Go underground and snap a photo alongside the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a detailed replica of their sewer home.

Stepping Outside: The “Fun Flows Here” Outdoor Experience

For the first time, Nickelodeon is expanding far beyond the walls of the convention center. Partnering with The New Children’s Museum, Nickelodeon is taking over the museum’s park area to deliver a free, public, multi-activity destination designed to supercharge kid energy on a massive scale.

Note for Museum Visitors: The New Children’s Museum will be closed to the public from July 21–26, reopening on Monday, July 27. Museum members will receive an exclusive invitation to a special preview event on Thursday, July 23.

Outdoor Activation Highlights:

  • Interactive Stage Show: Hosted by Kids Imagine Nation, the main stage will feature high-energy performances, games, and entertainment inspired by hits like PAW Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Thundermans, and Star Trek: Scouts.
  • Getting Slimed! The signature Nickelodeon Slime Booth gives select lucky fans the chance to step inside and experience the ultimate honor: getting completely drenched in legendary green goo.
  • Epic Photo Installations: Pose with larger-than-life setups themed around SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the Kids’ Choice Awards.
  • Friday Family Movie Night: On Friday, July 25 (7:00–9:00 PM), grab a spot at the park for a special outdoor screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.
  • Hands-on Creativity & Play: Fans can enjoy bubble play, DJ sets, prize raffles, live animated character-drawing demos, Nickelodeon Our World kids’ empowerment activities, and a station to mix and make your own slime to take home.

Whether you’re hunting down rare Avatar vinyl, looking to meet the Turtles, or trying to get coated in green slime, Nickelodeon is shaping up to be the absolute heart of fun at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Make sure to stop by Booth 4113 or head over to The New Children’s Museum Park to get your piece of the action!
