Apple Original Films and Skydance Media are bringing a fresh spin to the classic spy thriller with “Mayday,” a genre-bending, high-octane buddy comedy arriving at Comic-Con.
The Plot & Cast
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly, a hotshot U.S. Navy pilot sent on a top-secret Cold War mission deep into Russian territory. When the operation violently implodes, Troy finds himself stranded behind enemy lines. His only hope? An unlikely, chaotic alliance with Nikolai Ustinov (Kenneth Branagh), a gruff ex-KGB agent who happens to love American pop culture.
