Apple TV’s hit sci-fi adaptation “Silo” is making a massive footprint at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, pairing its Hall H panel debut with an off-site, immersive multi-sensory fan experience.

Based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy, Season 3 expands its scope by revealing an origin story set centuries earlier, while simultaneously pushing forward the present-day narrative of the 10,000 people living inside the mysterious underground silo. In the Present: Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) has survived her forced, supposedly fatal “cleaning,” but returns to the community grappling with memory loss just as the silo recovers from a rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. In the Past: (The “Before Times”): The prequel timeline follows journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) as they uncover the catastrophic conspiracy that built the silos.

The returning cast includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, and Steve Zahn. Major new additions for Season 3 include Jessica Henwick, Ashley Zukerman, Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, Matt Craven, and Colin Hanks. The Silo Experience (Friday, July 24 – Sunday, July 26, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM): Located at The Lot @ 1st & J (450 2nd Ave). A free, public, multi-sensory installation that transports fans directly into the underground silo to experience its intense atmosphere.

The Pitch: An action-packed, globetrotting adventure based on the Mattel toys. Undercover CIA agent Sean returns to his small town and accidentally drags his childhood friends into an international pursuit to save the world.
