Live from Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Summer Game Fest officially launched today with its marquee showcase of new game announcements from developers and publishers of all shapes, sizes, and origins. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, this is the E3 of the new age. It’s a time to kick back, be surprised, and start marking days on your calendar of new game releases to look forward to. In other words, it’s gaming Christmas!

The energy was high as were the expectations. Lots of stellar games have been released so far in 2026 so the question from fans far and wide is what will momentum look like in the year’s back half, and what’s on the horizon for 2027 and beyond?
