Inside the Star-Studded ‘Masters of the Universe’ World Premiere

Hollywood officially made its trek to Eternia. On Monday, May 18, 2026, Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel took over the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre for the highly anticipated world premiere of Masters of the Universe.

Transforming the heart of Hollywood into Castle Grayskull, the event brought together decades of pop culture legacy, from the nostalgic 1980s Filmation animated series to Travis Knight’s brand-new epic live-action adaptation. The stars came out in full force to celebrate, and we have an inside look at the most stunning photos from the red carpet.

The energy on the carpet was electric as the star-studded cast and a few legendary franchise alumni posed for photographers. Leading the charge was Nicholas Galitzine, who steps into the legendary dual role of Prince Adam and He-Man. Beside him, Camila Mendes stunned on the carpet, ready to bring the fierce warrior Teela to life. Idris Elba, who plays the tactical mastermind Duncan/Man-At-Arms, brought his signature, undeniable charm to the premiere.

What to Expect From the Film

For fans eager to see how the visuals translate to the screen, Director Travis Knight is leaning heavily into a deeply personal, high-stakes story. After being separated from his birthplace for 15 years, the legendary Sword of Power guides Prince Adam back home to Eternia. There, he discovers his kingdom has been shattered under the dark, iron-fisted rule of Skeletor (played by Jared Leto). To save his family, Adam must unite with Teela and Man-At-Arms, embrace his lineage, and fully step into his destiny as He-Man.

The film features an incredible supporting cast, including James Purefoy, Charlotte Riley, and Kristen Wiig voicing the beloved character “Roboto.”

Masters of the Universe hits theaters exclusively on June 5. Based on the incredible energy and spectacular style at the world premiere, the battle for Eternia is going to be an absolute must-watch on the big screen.
