Inside the World of “Exquisite Corpses”

Exquisite Corpses explores a brutal, high-stakes premise: every five years on Halloween, America’s wealthiest families orchestrate a twisted game. Twelve of the world’s most ruthless killers are dropped into a single town with one rule—last killer standing wins. For the citizens of Oak Valley, Maine, the game transforms their home into a nightmare. Where the only goal is surviving the night. The blockbuster first issue is currently available to read digitally for free on the official Image Comics website.

As the biggest original IP comic hit of 2025, the series has already sold over 600,000 copies. Marking Tynion’s strongest debut for an original series in over three years. Hitting shelves on July 8, Exquisite Corpses: Rascal Randy is the very first spin out of the main title. The book centers on the terrifying bunny-mascot killer who quickly became a breakout favorite among readers. Writer Tyler Boss is joined by fan-favorite artist Dylan Burnett, Eisner Award-winning colorist Jordie Bellaire, and star letterer Becca Carey.

The horror franchise shows no signs of slowing down, with an expansive slate of multimedia and comic projects on the horizon:
