The Expanse is an American science fiction television series developed based on The Expanse novels by James S. A. Corey (the pen name for Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck). Naren Shankar serves as showrunner and executive producer.

Now in its final season, we spoke to Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, and Naren Shankar about what it was like turning literature into television. They reflect on some of their favorite times and the promise made to fans at the beginning of season one.
The Expanse
Set hundreds of years in the future, humans have colonized the solar system. It received a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and three Saturn Award nominations for Best Science Fiction Television Series.
The new season will debut this past Friday, December 10th with the first episode and continue weekly for six weeks with the series finale on January 14, 2022. Series stars Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Season six of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros (Keon Alexander) and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo) makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper (Frankie Adams) on a secret mission that could turn the tide. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer (Cara Gee) and what’s left of her family are on the run and hunted for betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.
